Ubuntu has a prebuilt Basilisk II package available that can be install as standard apt install package: Another way to achieve this is using netatalk, which is AppleTalk equivalent to Samba for SMB/CIFS. I did this as I needed to set up an AppleTalk gateway to easily move files to/from a real M68000 series Mac. Here are tips on getting these running and trouble shooting there use on Ubuntu Linux. Both can be run on a number of platforms including: Windows, MacOS, FreeBSD, IRIX and Linux. For retro-computing enthausiants they bring a virtualised retro computing experience. I feel like code consolidation, while tedious, is work that could be more easily distributable (and something I could assist with). More relevant (and perhaps where there's some misunderstanding) is that I'm not in a position to help with either continuous integration testing or CMake (which I'm guessing would require compilation on all the supported platforms). The artisinal work has already been done, so to speak, unless you are considering support for additional platforms or there are problems on the existing platforms. My understanding is that CMake is really most useful when you are creating your multi-platform configuration / make build process for the first time. I agree that it's likely moving to CMake will be a less time consuming endeavor than code consolidation. I have no idea how much effort would be involved in setting up continuous integration testing.
